“The strength of our army, guarded by the mighty Bhishma, knows no bounds, while the strength of their army, shielded by Bhima, has its limitations.”
Commentary
Duryodhana, with confidence and pride, addressed Dronacharya, expressing his assessment of the strengths of their army compared to that of the Pandavas. He emphasized the significance of having Bhishma, a seasoned warrior and respected figure, as their protector and guide. He believed that his unwavering support and leadership would ensure their victory.
In contrast, Duryodhana viewed the strength of the Pandava army as limited. He acknowledged that Bheema, the mighty warrior among the Pandavas, protected their forces with great skill and determination, but Duryodhana saw it as insufficient compared to the vast power he believed his own army possessed.
