“This I have gained today, and that longing I will fulfill. This wealth is mine, and that also shall be mine in future;”

“That enemy I have slain, and others, too, I will slay. I am the lord of all; I enjoy; I am prosperous, mighty, and happy;”

“I am rich; I am of high birth. Who else is equal to me? I will offer sacrifice, I will give, I will rejoice.”

Commentary

The demoniac persons, driven by their materialistic mindset, hold the belief that their sole purpose in life is to pursue personal gain and fulfill their desires. They view their wealth and possessions as a measure of success and indulge in a constant quest for acquiring even more. Their perspective is centered around a sense of ownership and control, where they see everything as belonging to them and anticipate an even greater accumulation of wealth in the future.

With a mindset driven by ego and dominance, they perceive themselves as conquerors, not only in the physical realm but also in their interactions with others. They take pride in having defeated their perceived enemies and express their determination to vanquish any obstacles that come their way. This attitude stems from their distorted self-perception, where they consider themselves equal to God, seeing themselves as the ultimate enjoyer, perfect, powerful, and content.

Their wealth and connections in influential circles further reinforce their inflated sense of superiority. They believe that no one else can match their status and accomplishments, failing to recognize the inherent equality and interconnectedness of all beings.

In their pursuit of personal gain, they even engage in rituals and acts of charity but with a distorted intention. Instead of performing these actions with selflessness and a genuine desire to help others, their motives are driven by ego and a desire for personal gratification. They see these acts as means to further enhance their own reputation and pleasure.

Ultimately, the demoniac persons are trapped in a cycle of ignorance. Their limited understanding and distorted worldview blind them to the true nature of life, the interconnectedness of all beings, and the spiritual essence that resides within. Their pursuit of material desires leads them further away from genuine happiness and fulfillment, keeping them entrapped in the illusory realm of ignorance and self-centeredness.
