“No weapon can pierce the soul; no fire can burn it; no water can moisten it; nor can wind wither it.”
Commentary
Millions of people wonder whether soul exists but saints who plumbed the depths of the intangible mind to find the invisible source behind the projections of thoughts and feelings have independently, yet in perfect harmony, discovered the existence of a soul within, that dreams of this body.
Austrian-Irish physicist Erwin Schrödinger who gave the famous equation for the dual nature of electron acting both as wave and particle at the same time, referred to Upanishads stating, “Millions of suns, surrounded by planets, multiplicity of galaxies, every one with its myriads of suns… According to me, all these are Maya, operating with specific laws”.
No matter the experiences in his dream, the dreamer is never hurt by them; he finds himself safe after the dream is over. Similarly, the human soul-dreamer may be frightened temporarily by his experiences during this dream of life, but when he awakes in God, he is safe and sound.
