Verse 6-31

सर्वभूतस्थितं यो मां भजत्येकत्वमास्थित: |

सर्वथा वर्तमानोऽपि स योगी मयि वर्तते || 31 ||

“He who worships Me as the One existing in everything and is firmly established in Me is in the highest state of yoga”

Commentary: Lord Krishna explains that the one who sees Him in all living beings and sees all living beings in Him, who lives in Him and always remembers Him, is the true yogi. Such a person remains in a state of oneness with God, no matter what actions he is performing in the world. This is the highest state of Nirvikalpa samādhi or union with God.

Nirvikalpa samādhi is a state of profound absorption where the meditator experiences a complete dissolution of ego and the duality between the subject and object. The concept of the universe as a “mental” construct has been explored by physicists such as Max Planck, Werner Heisenberg, and Erwin Schrödinger, who were instrumental in the development of quantum mechanics. The entire world is a mental construct and an active dream manifestation of God. The yogi experiences and worships God’s pure consciousness in and behind every manifestation.
