“O conqueror of wealth, there is no truth superior to Me. Everything rests upon Me, like pearls on a thread.”
Commentary: God is the ultimate truth and source of everything. There is nothing higher or more essential than Him. All truths, knowledge, and existence find their foundation in Him alone.
Lord Krishna uses the analogy of pearls on a thread to illustrate the relationship between Himself and the manifested world. Just as pearls are strung together on a thread, everything in creation is interconnected and dependent on Him. The thread gives coherence and unity to the pearls, similarly God provides the cohesive force that binds and harmonizes the diverse aspects of creation. He is the underlying support that holds and sustains the entire universe.
This verse emphasizes the fundamental principle of monotheism, declaring that there is no other ultimate reality or truth apart from God. All aspects of existence, both material and spiritual, find their basis and purpose in Him. Understanding this truth leads to a deeper realization of the divine presence permeating all aspects of life.
