“I am indeed the enjoyer and the Lord of all sacrifices, but those who do not know Me in truth fall into ignorance.”
Commentary: Lord Krishna declares Himself to be the ultimate enjoyer (bhokta) and the supreme Lord (prabhu) of all sacrifices or yajnas. Yajna refers to the act of offering or sacrifice performed in the Vedic tradition as a means of connecting with the divine.
Lord Krishna asserts that He is the ultimate recipient and beneficiary of all yajnas. As the Supreme Being, He is the one who receives the offerings and bestows the fruits of the sacrifices. He is the ultimate enjoyer of all actions and the ultimate authority governing the universe.
However, Lord Krishna points out that those who do not have true knowledge of His divine nature and essence (tattvena) remain ignorant. They fail to recognize His supreme position as the source of all existence. As a result, they continue to wander in ignorance, without realizing the true purpose and significance of their actions.
