अर्जुन उवाच | मदनुग्रहाय परमं गुह्यमध्यात्मसञ्ज्ञितम् | यत्त्वयोक्तं वचस्तेन मोहोऽयं विगतो मम || 1 || |

Arjuna said: “Out of compassion, you have spoken about the supreme confidential spiritual knowledge and by your words, my delusion is now gone.”
Commentary
Arjuna addresses Lord Krishna and acknowledges the profound impact of the teachings he has received. Arjuna recognizes that Krishna, out of His compassion and grace, has revealed the highest and most confidential knowledge known as “Adhyātma” or knowledge of the Self. Arjuna refers to this grace as “Madānugraha,” meaning the knowledge bestowed upon him by Krishna with kindness. Any devotee can gain access the profound wisdom that lies beyond the realm of ordinary perception through God’s grace.
Arjuna admits that he was previously under the influence of delusion. Delusion or Moha here refers to a state of confusion, doubt, and attachment, which clouds our understanding of the duty and the path we should follow. Just like Krishna’s words have brought clarity and insight to Arjuna, enabling him to perceive the truth with clarity, all devotees can receive spiritual clarity with complete surrender, by following the teachings of Lord Krishna.
