Arjuna acknowledges that he has received comprehensive knowledge from Lord Krishna regarding two essential topics: the eternal nature of living beings (bhuta) and the imperishable manifestations (avyayam) of the Lord Himself.
Arjuna addresses Krishna as “Kamalapatrāksha,” one with lotus eyes. This is a reverential term used to express Arjuna’s devotion and admiration for Krishna. The lotus is often associated with purity, beauty, and spiritual enlightenment, and Arjuna acknowledges Krishna’s divine qualities through this epithet.
The eternal nature of living beings refers to the immortal essence or the indestructible aspect that exists beyond the physical body. Krishna has elucidated the concept of the eternal soul (Atman) and its relationship with the Supreme Soul (Paramatman).
Furthermore, Krishna has revealed the avyayam, the imperishable and unchanging nature of His divine manifestations. These manifestations are eternal and beyond the limitations of time and space. They represent the divine forms and incarnations through which Krishna reveals His divine nature and interacts with the world.
Arjuna expresses his gratitude and recognition of the privilege bestowed upon him.
