“If a thousand suns were to rise in the sky simultaneously, their radiance would not be similar to the effulgence of that great soul.”

Commentary

Sanjaya Sanjaya suggests that even if a thousand suns were to appear in the heavens simultaneously, their combined radiance would not compare to the resplendence emanating from the great soul of Krishna. This comparison is used to emphasize the incomparable nature of Krishna’s divine light and the overwhelming magnitude of His spiritual presence.

Krishna’s divine effulgence is not limited to the physical realm but extends far beyond the ordinary perception of light. It signifies the divine nature and transcendental glory of Krishna, which surpasses any mundane source of illumination. The vision serves to inspire reverence, awe, and an understanding of Krishna’s divine majesty. By presenting this metaphor, Sanjaya conveys the immense spiritual power and magnificence inherent in Krishna’s manifestation as the Supreme Being.
