“Having thus spoken to Arjuna, Lord Krishna revealed His own human form once again. The compassionate Lord reassured Arjuna, who was filled with fear, and assumed His gentle form.”
Sanjaya describes that after instructing and comforting Arjuna, Lord Krishna once again revealed His divine form. Having shown Arjuna the cosmic form to deepen his understanding and instill awe, Krishna now reveals His familiar and gentle form to alleviate Arjuna’s fear and distress.
By displaying His gentle form, Krishna reassures Arjuna and brings him back to a state of calmness. This form reflects Krishna’s compassionate nature, emphasizing His role as a loving friend and guide to Arjuna. It allows Arjuna to connect with Krishna on a more intimate level and perceive Him as the familiar and beloved friend he knows.
Krishna’s ability to transition between his awe-inspiring cosmic form and His gentle form highlights His divine omnipotence and the depth of His compassion. It demonstrates His willingness to meet His devotees at their level of understanding and provide them with the support they need on their spiritual journey.
The verse signifies the importance of Krishna’s reassurance and the impact it has on Arjuna’s state of mind. It conveys the idea that by placing our trust in the divine and seeking solace in the gentle and loving aspect of the divine, we can find comfort and inner peace even in the face of adversity.
