“Do not be disturbed or bewildered by this fierce form of Mine. With a joyful and contented mind, behold once again My pleasant form.”

Commentary:
In response to Arjuna’s overwhelming awe and fear upon witnessing Krishna’s awe-inspiring and terrifying cosmic form, Lord Krishna consoles him and urges him not to be distressed. Krishna understands that Arjuna might be experiencing anxiety and confusion due to the intense and ferocious nature of the divine manifestation.

Krishna advises Arjuna not to let his mind be agitated or bewildered by the formidable appearance. He encourages Arjuna to shift his focus back to his familiar and pleasing form, which He had previously revealed. Krishna assures Arjuna that by regaining a composed and joyful state of mind, he will once again be able to behold His comforting and lovable form.

The purpose of Krishna’s instruction is to restore Arjuna’s peace of mind and bring him back to a state of clarity and connection. Krishna wants Arjuna to see beyond the terrifying exterior and remember the divine love and compassion that lie within His form. By doing so, Arjuna can maintain his devotion and spiritual connection with Krishna, without being overwhelmed by the cosmic manifestation.

This verse highlights Krishna’s compassion and concern for Arjuna’s well-being. It teaches us the importance of maintaining equanimity and trust in times of adversity or when confronted with the unfathomable aspects of the divine. By shifting our focus to the divine’s loving and benevolent nature, we can find solace and renewed faith.
