Verse 12-10

अभ्यासेऽप्यसमर्थोऽसि मत्कर्मपरमो भव |

मदर्थमपि कर्माणि कुर्वन्सिद्धिमवाप्स्यसि || 10 ||

“Even if you are unable to maintain steady focus in devotion, strive to perform actions for my sake. By offering actions to Me, you will ultimately achieve perfection.”

Commentary:
Even when focus wavers, and devotion seems elusive, Lord Krishna offers a path of grace. A silent, inward chant, dedicating each action to Him, becomes a powerful tool. It is a subtle nudge that reconnects the devotee to his devotion. This act, seemingly small, has a profound effect. Over time, with each whispered offering, the devotee experiences a gradual shift. The act itself becomes a form of meditation, a practice that hones focus and deepens devotion. The goal here is not immediate perfection, but a journey of steady improvement. Each dedicated action, no matter how small, becomes a stepping stone on the path towards mastery and a more fulfilling life. By performing actions with a selfless attitude, with the intention of serving a higher purpose for the sake of the divine, one can attain perfection. The motive behind our actions is crucial, and when actions are performed with devotion and a sense of service, they become a means to spiritual growth and self-realization.
