The term “na hṛiṣhyati” refers to not rejoicing or becoming elated by favorable circumstances. Similarly, “na dveṣhṭi” means not hating or becoming averse to unfavorable situations. A true devotee remains unaffected by external circumstances and does not allow them to disturb their inner equilibrium.
The term “na śhochati” signifies not grieving or lamenting over losses or difficulties. A devotee accepts the ups and downs of life with equanimity, understanding the transient nature of worldly experiences.
Furthermore, “na kāṅkṣhati” implies not desiring or craving for specific outcomes. A devotee relinquishes personal desires and trusts in the divine will, finding contentment in the present moment.
