“Those who perceive the distinction between the field (the body) and the knower of the field (the soul) with the eye of knowledge, and also understand the way to liberation from the material nature, attain the supreme state.”

Commentary: Lord Krishna highlights the importance of true knowledge and discernment in understanding the relationship between the field (the body) and the knower of the field (the soul). He emphasizes that those who possess the eye of knowledge, which enables them to see beyond the external aspects of the body and recognize the presence of the eternal soul within, attain a higher state of realization.

Those who comprehend this concept and process of liberation from the influence of material nature and its associated desires and attachments are said to achieve the ultimate state of spiritual transcendence.

In essence, Lord Krishna emphasizes the significance of knowledge, discrimination, and spiritual liberation in attaining the highest state of consciousness and realizing one’s true nature as distinct from the temporary material world. He encourages individuals to cultivate the eye of knowledge to perceive the deeper truths and transcend the limitations of material existence.
