Commentary
This verse describes the divine nature of Lord Kirshna as the source of the illuminating power found in celestial bodies and all natural phenomena.
The brilliance displayed by the sun, which provides light and energy to the entire solar system, is a manifestation of Krishna’s own divine energy. The sun’s ability to illuminate and sustain life on Earth can be attributed to the power emanating from Lord Krishna.
Similarly, the luminosity of the moon, which reflects the sun’s light, and the brightness of fire, which emits light and heat, also originate from the Supreme Lord. All forms of radiant energy in the universe ultimately find their source in His divine presence.
The true devotee recognizes, acknowledges and perceives Lord Krishna as the ultimate source and bestower of all luminosity and divine radiance in the cosmos.
