काममाश्रित्य दुष्पूरं दम्भमानमदान्विता: | मोहाद्गृहीत्वासद्ग्राहान्प्रवर्तन्तेऽशुचिव्रता: || 10 || |

This verse describes the behavior and mindset of individuals who are driven by worldly desires and attachment. They rely on desires as their guiding force and are characterized by dushpūraṁ, insatiable lust or unquenchable desires. They constantly seek fulfillment through external objects and sensual pleasures, never finding lasting satisfaction.
Such individuals are also accompanied by ‘dam bhamaṇa madaanvitāḥ’, which means they possess pride and arrogance. They are filled with a sense of superiority, considering themselves better or more deserving than others. Their pride is further fueled by their attachment to material possessions, achievements, or social status.
Driven by moha, delusion or ignorance, they are misled by distorted perceptions and wrong understanding. They fail to see the transient and illusory nature of material pursuits and remain entangled in a cycle of desires and attachments.
In their pursuit of fulfilling their desires, they engage in asad-grāhān, dishonest actions or unethical means. They may resort to deceit, manipulation, or exploitation to achieve their goals, disregarding principles of honesty, integrity, and righteousness.
The verse concludes by characterizing such individuals as aśucivratāḥ, those who follow impure vows or unethical conduct. Their actions and intentions are impure, lacking in moral integrity, and contributing to their spiritual impurity.
