Verse 18-65

मन्मना भव मद्भक्तो मद्याजी मां नमस्कुरु |

मामेवैष्यसि सत्यं ते प्रतिजाने प्रियोऽसि मे || 65 ||

“Always think of Me, become My devotee, worship Me, and offer your homage to Me. In this way, you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend.”
 

Commentary

Lord Krishna urges Arjuna to constantly fix his mind on Him, to develop a deep sense of devotion, and to engage in acts of worship and reverence towards Him. By doing so, Arjuna will be able to attain union with the divine, symbolized by “coming to Me.”


Lord Krishna assures Arjuna that if he follows these practices sincerely, he will undoubtedly achieve union with the divine. This promise is based on their close relationship and the love Lord Krishna holds for Arjuna as his dear friend.


The verse emphasizes the power of devotion and surrender to the divine as a means to attain spiritual realization and closeness to God. It highlights the importance of maintaining a constant remembrance of the divine, engaging in devotional practices, and offering one’s respects and homage.
