Commentary

Lord Krishna instructs Arjuna to renounce all forms of religious dogmas, rituals, and attachments, and to seek refuge solely in Him. By surrendering to Him unconditionally, one can attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death, and be freed from the consequences of past misdeeds and sins.

The verse reassures Arjuna and all sincere seekers that Lord Krishna will personally take care of their spiritual welfare and guide them towards liberation. It emphasizes that no matter how burdened or sinful one may feel, surrendering to the divine with faith and devotion can lead to liberation and freedom from the effects of past actions.

Lord Krishna also advises Arjuna not to worry or be anxious, as He will absolve him of all sins and provide him with the means for spiritual liberation. The phrase “ma shucha” means “do not fear” or “do not worry,” indicating the importance of trust and surrender in the path of devotion.

In summary, this verse highlights the path of exclusive surrender and devotion to Lord Krishna as a means to transcend the limitations of religious boundaries and attain spiritual liberation. It reassures the devotee of divine grace, forgiveness, and protection, urging them to have unwavering faith and surrender.
