“However, the fruits attained by those with limited understanding are temporary. The worshippers of deities go to the realm of those deities, but My devotees come to Me.”
Commentary: Lord Krishna explains the distinction between the results obtained by those with limited understanding and the outcomes achieved by His devotees. He states that the fruits obtained by individuals with limited spiritual understanding are impermanent and fleeting. These individuals may worship various deities with specific intentions or desires, and accordingly, they attain the corresponding realms associated with those deities. However, such realms are transitory and subject to change.
Lord Krishna emphasizes the superiority of devotion to the Supreme God over worship of other deities. While the worship of other deities can lead to specific results, devotion to the Original Creator of even celestial beings has the potential to elevate devotees beyond those realms and unite them with the Supreme.
Through their unwavering love and devotion, devotees can transcend limited outcomes and attain the highest goal, which is union with the Supreme Lord.
