येषां त्वन्तगतं पापं जनानां पुण्यकर्मणाम् | ते द्वन्द्वमोहनिर्मुक्ता भजन्ते मां दृढव्रता: || 28 || |

“Those who are free from the dualities of delusion, whose sins have been destroyed by virtuous actions, they worship me with firm resolve.”
Commentary: Lord Krishna emphasizes the state of those individuals who have transcended the dualities of the material world and have purified themselves through virtuous deeds. He states that those who have purified their hearts and minds by performing righteous actions are liberated from the delusions created by the pairs of opposites, such as pleasure and pain, success and failure, and attachment and aversion.
Such individuals, referred to as “dṛiḍha-vratāḥ” meaning those with steadfast resolve or firm determination, have purified their karmic slate and have overcome the influences of past sinful actions. They have cultivated virtues and righteousness, and as a result, they have transcended the duality and illusions of the material world.
Lord Krishna declares that these virtuous individuals, freed from the entanglements of dualities, engage in the worship and devotion of the divine. They have a deep and unwavering commitment to connect with the Supreme, recognizing the oneness of all existence.
The verse is an encouragement to cultivate virtuous actions, develop steadfast resolve, and seek liberation from the illusions of duality through devotion and worship of the divine.
