Lord Krishna describes the qualities and actions of those who have their minds completely absorbed in Him. He states that those who have their consciousness focused on Him, whose lives are dedicated to Him, and who engage in enlightening discussions about Him with one another, experience contentment and joy in their relationship with Him.
The verse emphasizes the importance of developing a deep and unwavering connection with the Supreme. The term “machchitta” refers to having one’s mind fully absorbed in the Supreme. It means to constantly think of the Divine, to have one’s thoughts and feelings centered on God. “Madgataprana” signifies dedicating one’s life, breath, and vital energy to the Divine, surrendering all aspects of one’s being to the Supreme.
Furthermore, the verse highlights the significance of satsang, which is the company of like-minded spiritual seekers who engage in uplifting and enlightening discussions about the Divine. This mutual sharing and discussion about God and spiritual matters contribute to the deepening of their devotion and understanding. By constantly speaking of the Divine and hearing about the Supreme from fellow devotees, they reinforce their connection with the Divine and find inspiration and joy in their spiritual journey.
The verse concludes by stating that those who possess these qualities and engage in these actions experience a sense of contentment and delight in their relationship with the Supreme. Their devotion and dedication bring them inner satisfaction and fulfillment, and they find joy in their communion with the Divine.
