Along with the kings of the world,
Bhishma, Drona, and the son of a charioteer,
Thus seeing you, they rush into your fearsome mouths,
I see their heads smashed between Your terrible teeth”
Here, Dhritarāshtra’s sons and other prominent warriors who are aligned with the Kauravas are mentioned. They include Bheeshma, Drona, and Karna, who are respected and formidable warriors. Arjuna describes how these warriors, out of fear and helplessness, rush into Krishna’s terrifying mouths. The imagery of rushing into the mouths implies their ultimate destruction or absorption into the cosmic order. It symbolizes the impending doom and fate awaiting them in the battle. Some warriors are seen with their heads crushed between Krishna’s ferocious teeth, signifying their utter defeat and destruction. Their proud and powerful faces are reduced to a mere scattering of crushed remains.
