“Please tell me who You are in this fearsome form,
O Supreme Deity, I bow to You, be gracious to me.
I desire to understand You, the primal Being,
For I do not comprehend Your actions.”
Commentary:
Arjuna expresses his awe and curiosity regarding Krishna’s divine and formidable form. He humbly requests Krishna to reveal His true identity and seeks His blessings and grace. Arjuna acknowledges that he is unable to understand the reasons behind Krishna’s extraordinary manifestation and actions.
Arjuna addresses Krishna as “Deva-Vara,” the best among the gods or the supreme deity. He recognizes Krishna’s exalted and powerful nature. Arjuna offers his respectful salutations and seeks Krishna’s favor and mercy.
Arjuna expresses his earnest desire to know Krishna in His original form and understand His divine essence.
