Verse 13-11

मयि चानन्ययोगेन भक्तिरव्यभिचारिणी |

विविक्तदेशसेवित्वमरतिर्जनसंसदि || 11 ||

“Constant and exclusive devotion to Me, residing in a secluded place, and detachment from society”

Commentary

Constant and exclusive devotion to Me (bhakti): This aspect emphasizes unwavering and wholehearted devotion to the divine or the higher power. It involves cultivating a deep sense of love, reverence, and surrender towards the object of devotion, leading to a deep spiritual connection.

 

Residing in a secluded place (vivikta deśa sevitvam): This suggests the importance of creating a conducive environment for spiritual growth and contemplation. It involves seeking solitude and spending time in a peaceful and secluded place to engage in spiritual practices, self-reflection, and introspection.

 

Detachment from society (aratir janasaṁsadi): It signifies a state of disinterest or detachment from the distractions and complexities of social interactions and worldly engagements. It involves maintaining a sense of inner detachment while fulfilling one’s responsibilities and duties toward society.
