“He is both inside and outside all beings, moving and unmoving. He is subtle and incomprehensible, far away and yet near.”
Commentary: Bhagwan Krishna describes the omnipresence and transcendence of Brāhman. He states that Brāhman exists both within and outside all beings, encompassing everything that is moving and unmoving in the universe. Brāhman is not limited by space or boundaries and pervades all of creation.
He emphasizes the subtle nature of Brāhman, beyond ordinary perception and comprehension. Its true nature is subtle and can only be grasped through deep spiritual insight and realization.
The verse also highlights the paradoxical aspect of Brāhman’s presence. While Brāhman is described as being “far away,” indicating a sense of transcendence, it is also said to be “near.” This suggests that even though Brāhman may seem distant or beyond our immediate perception, It is inherently close and intimately connected to all aspects of existence.
