“The omnipresent God does not involve Himself in the sinful or virtuous deeds of anyone. Mankind is deluded because their wisdom is covered by ignorance”
Commentary :
Virtue and sin are self-created by man. God does not take account of deeds performed by mankind. His nature is transcendental and although He created the poison of Maya or delusion, He is not affected by it. He remains blissful, untouched and pristine in His Bliss, just as Lord Shiva remains completely untouched although He holds poison within Himself. This Divine State of consciousness can be reached by anyone with sufficient will power and guidance on the right spiritual path. Lord Shiva represents the supreme power over death, that is hidden in every human. This latent power that can overcome any obstacles has to be developed and trained continuously.
As long as man sees darkness within closed eyes, so long he is encased in ignorance. When wisdom shines forth revealing his origin and destination, he is no longer involved anymore with consequences of his past sinful and virtuous actions.
