“O Partha, know Me to be the eternal seed of all beings. I am the intelligence of the intelligent and the brilliance of the brilliant.”
Commentary: Lord Krishna reveals His transcendental nature and His role as the source of intelligence and brilliance in all beings.
He is the eternal seed (beejam) of all beings. This signifies that He is the origin and underlying essence from which all living entities manifest. Just as a seed contains the potential for the growth and development of a plant, Lord Krishna is the primordial cause of all existence.
Lord Krishna further states that He is the intelligence (buddhi) of the intelligent. Intelligence refers to the faculty of understanding, discernment, and decision-making. He is the ultimate source of wisdom, knowledge, and discerning ability. All forms of intelligence in the world are derived from Him.
Additionally, Lord Krishna asserts that He is the brilliance (tejas) of the brilliant. Tejas represents radiant energy, vitality, and luminosity. He is the source of all forms of brilliance, including intellectual, creative, and spiritual brilliance. It is His divine energy that empowers and illuminates the brilliance in all beings.
