The Supreme Lord said: “O Partha, with your mind attached to Me, constantly practice the discipline of yoga. Take refuge in Me alone and know Me fully without any doubt. Hear how you can know Me in entirety."
"I shall impart to you knowledge with its profound meaning, knowing which nothing more shall remain to be known."

"Earth, water, fire, air, space, mind, intellect and ego—these eightfold diverse forms constitute my separate and distinct Prakriti (Nature)."
"But know that besides this lower nature, O mighty-armed Arjuna, there is a higher divine nature, which is the very life-force that sustains the entire cosmos."
"Understand that all living beings have their source in these two natures. I am the origin and dissolution of the entire universe, O Arjuna."
"O conqueror of wealth, there is no truth superior to Me. Everything rests upon Me, like pearls on a thread."

"I am the divine fragrance in the Earth, the radiant light in the sun and the moon, the life force in all living beings, and the austerity in the ascetics."
"O Partha, know Me to be the eternal seed of all beings. I am the intelligence of the intelligent and the brilliance of the brilliant."
"I am the strength of the strong, devoid of desire and attachment. I am desire in beings that is not contrary to righteousness, O Arjuna."
"Know that all states of being, in good, active and ignorant modes, are manifested from Me alone. Yet I am not in them; they are in Me."
"By these three modes of material nature, this universe is bewildered. The deluded do not understand that I am beyond these modes and imperishable."
"My power of Maya, consisting of the three modes of material nature, is difficult to overcome. But those who surrender unto Me cross over it easily."
"Miscreants, foolish people and lowest among mankind, whose knowledge is stolen by illusion, and who are attached to the demonic nature, do not surrender to Me."
"O Arjuna, four kinds of pious individuals engage in my devotional service - the distressed, the seekers of knowledge, the seekers of wealth, and the wise."
"Among these, the most elevated are the wise devotees who maintain a continuous and profound connection with Me through their devotion. I am very dear to them, and so they are to Me."
“Certainly, all these wise individuals are noble, but I consider the one united in consciousness with Me to be the highest of them, for such a person has achieved the supreme goal.”
"At the end of many births, the wise person surrenders and merges in Me, realizing that Vasudeva is everything. Such a great soul is indeed rare to find."
"Those whose knowledge has been robbed by desires surrender to various celestial deities. Following particular rituals according to their own rules and regulations, they are bound by their respective nature."
"Whatever form devotees worship with faith, I make their faith firm in that very form."
"Endowed with that faith, devotees engage in the worship of the chosen deity, and by My grace, attain the desired results."
"However, the fruits attained by those with limited understanding are temporary. The worshippers of deities go to the realm of those deities, but My devotees come to Me."
"Those with limited understanding perceive Me, who is unmanifest, as having manifestation. They are unaware of My supreme, imperishable, and transcendental nature."
"I am not manifest to everyone, being veiled by the divine illusion. This ignorant world does not recognize Me, the unborn and imperishable."
"I know the past, present, and future of all beings, O Arjuna, but no one knows Me."
"O Arjuna, with the rise of desire and aversion, born from the delusion of duality, all beings become bewildered at the time of creation."
"Those who are free from the dualities of delusion, whose sins have been destroyed by virtuous actions, they worship me with firm resolve."
"Those who strive for liberation from old age and death, taking refuge in Me, they come to know the Supreme Absolute, the entirety of the spiritual and material worlds, and the complete spectrum of actions."
"Those who know Me as the governing principle behind physical and divine manifestations, and the performer of all sacrifices, such souls know Me even at the time of departure." |
